Start at Beginner and work up. Every task produces something real you can show: a report, a tool, a guide or a demo. Publish it on LinkedIn or GitHub as your proof of work.

Beginner

LEVEL 01

01Run an OSINT audit on yourself: what can a stranger find from your name, email and usernames? Write a report and a 'lock it down' checklist.
02Geolocate 5 photos from a practice challenge (Bellingcat or Quiztime) and document every clue you used.
03Build a cheat sheet of 20 advanced search operators (Google and Bing) with an example for each.

Intermediate

LEVEL 02

01Map a public company's digital footprint (domains, subdomains via certificate transparency, exposed documents, public staff roles) using passive sources only, and write a findings brief.
02Verify or debunk a viral claim using reverse image search, metadata and archived pages, and publish a step-by-step investigation log.
03Create an evidence-capture standard (screenshots with URL and timestamp, archive links, file hashes) and apply it to one investigation.

Advanced

LEVEL 03

01Take part in a Trace Labs Search Party CTF or its practice cases, and publish a methodology write-up after the event, without any personal details.
02Investigate a scam network (a fake job or investment site): domains, hosting links, publicly visible payment trails, and indicators. Write a report ready to hand to authorities.
