8 TASKS

Start at Beginner and work up. Every task produces something real you can show: a report, a tool, a guide or a demo. Publish it on LinkedIn or GitHub as your proof of work.

LEVEL 01
  • 01Take the Detect Fakes challenge, record your score, and write which visual cues fooled you and which ones helped.
  • 02Make a 'Deepfake Red Flags' guide covering faces, hands, lighting, lip-sync and audio, with annotated examples.
  • 03Use reverse image search and keyframe extraction on 3 viral videos to find their original source.
I
Intermediate
LEVEL 02
  • 01Analyse 10 images (some real, some AI-generated) with Forensically and metadata tools. Report your verdict and confidence for each, then reveal the answers.
  • 02Research voice-cloning scams in India: collect 5 reported cases and design a family or office 'voice verification' protocol.
  • 03Check C2PA content credentials on images from different sources, and explain what provenance can and cannot prove.

LEVEL 03
  • 01Write a standard operating procedure for verifying a suspicious video sent to a newsroom or company: triage, tools, escalation, and a report template.
  • 02Build and evaluate a simple deepfake image classifier on a public dataset, with an honest limitations section on why detectors fail in the wild.
