From blank page to first prototype

A practical field note on using AI to compress the distance between a strong idea and something you can test.

From blank page to first prototype

The blank page feels difficult because it asks for certainty before there is evidence. A prototype changes the question from “is this a good idea?” to “what did we learn?”

Start with the smallest useful surface: one workflow, one user, and one moment of value. Ask AI to help map the edge cases, write the first interface, and generate alternatives you can compare.

The goal of a first prototype is not polish. It is a shared object that makes the next decision easier.
